HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language and is the skeleton of the web. It’s the standard language used to create web pages. Think of HTML as the structure of a building; it lays out the framework that gives your content a place to live. At its core, HTML uses tags to tell the browser how to display content. For example, the main heading uses H1, while P is used for paragraphs. There are tags for images, links, lists—just about anything. One nice thing about HTML is its simplicity. Even if you are a totally new beginner to it, you can learn it easily in minutes and thus create your first web pages right away. Just open any text editor, write some HTML in it, save it as something.html, and open it in any web browser. From making a simple personal blog to a complex website, HTML is the starting tool that brings you closer to the web.
